# Lappy firmware v0.0.2

The 640 × 172 UI now follows the owner’s Claude Design export. Street has Drive/Trip/GPS pages; Drag has Live/Results/Details; Track has Timing/Map/Session. Settings uses the new eight-cell grid, device cards, diagnostics and explicit forget confirmation. A 28 px status strip replaces the old footer layout. Generated Montserrat fonts, SVG-derived icons and palette tokens are included.

Lappy is English only. Language selection and Chinese support are removed from the current requirements and design handoff. Historical plans and v0.0.1 archives remain available.

BOOT tap changes mode and remembers the page per mode. Hold for 0.8 seconds and release to toggle Settings. Horizontal swipes wrap within display modes; Settings uses explicit BACK/CANCEL/CLOSE controls. Recording remains independent of display navigation.

Drag/Track are implemented UI previews. Hardware shows CONCEPT and unavailable timings; the desktop simulator shows labelled synthetic DEMO data with armed/running and faster/slower scenarios. No timing engine, track pack or measured result is enabled by this release. Street telemetry, pairing, reconnect and raw capture retain their bring-up functionality. Automatic battery shutdown still awaits electrical validation.

Both V1 and V2 binaries and debug ELFs are supplied. Select the profile from the PCB marking before flashing. Follow FIRST_FLASH.md; the flash tool verifies the selected release and backs up the factory image before writing. The default release is now 0.0.2.
