# Lappy v0.4.2

Custom track recording now holds its route position while stationary instead of accumulating GPS wander as travel. The October 28 indoor soak previously accumulated 980.175 m without physical movement; replaying that recording now produces 0 m and no GPS gaps.

- Confirm movement using speed uncertainty, sustained receiver/arrival time, and agreement between coordinate displacement and integrated speed/heading over at least 2 m. There is no driving-speed cutoff. Synthetic clear movement down to 0.02 m/s remains recordable; movement below the receiver's ability to resolve it remains uncertain.
- Preserve the initial confirmed travel when recording starts moving, and hold the last trusted moving position while stopped. Fresh GPS still permits Start and Finish while stationary. A stationary-only recording cannot become a saveable 30 m route.
- Reject sudden implausible coordinate spikes and recover on the next normal fix. Unknown velocity information retains the existing position-only fallback; it cannot establish a stationary classification.
- Keep Stop and Cancel available regardless of movement, retain partial/recovery behavior, and avoid adding unconfirmed drift across a stationary interval. A position discontinuity that cannot be joined safely remains an explicit GPS gap.
- Keep 25 Hz auto-configuration, raw capture, receiver timestamps, timed Track/Drag precision, quality thresholds, 50 km support and 50 m split steps unchanged.

Validation includes the exact private soak, a location-free full recording regression, slow movement and stationary-marker cases, the existing moving-route regression, host sanitizers, durability/endurance tests and device checks. See the matching hardware report for final measurements and limits. This update does not change existing saved course geometry, PBs or references.
